Academic institutions are increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats due to their expansive digital infrastructure and diverse user base. This study was to investigate the encompassing cybersecurity policies, incident response plans, disaster recovery strategies, and compliance with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks and lastly to provide practical policy recommendations for academic institutions, This was a cross sectional research design using google forms where, data was collected from 41 respondents including students, faculty, administration, and IT staff to assess perceptions of cybersecurity preparedness and identify areas for improvement regarding policy.
